once i'm done editing the shortcuts, i save the file as test14.home.xml

then i have a little pray, then load the file into storage/applicationdata/home....

another little pray, then i look for the file and...... it's not there. please what am i doing wrong???

i really did try to understand the other posts about this but it makes no sense to my little shrivelled brain :D

To see it as a different home screen, you need to change the

tag as well. What you see in the list of home screens are the titles, not the file names.

It doesn't really matter if the file name and the title are the same. The file name must end in .home.xml. Anyway, you should not have two files with the same title, or the phone would not be able to tell between the two. Probably you have another file with the same title on the phone.
