sp3i ROM -> Qtek 8020

My situation:

I live in Sweden and thinkig of buying (www.expansys.se)

Qtek 8020 because it's 85 euros cheaper than sp3i but

Qtek 8020 doesn't have swedish menu.

If you buy sp3i you can get free ROM from I-mate to get swedish menu, right?

If we assume that I can find on the net that version of ROM (sp3i), my queation is:

Is it possible to install sp3i's ROM on Qtek 8020?

Have someone tried to install sp3i ROM on Qtek 8020?

One more question:

I own Qtek 8080 (E200) and have that common problem that when you put phone on the metal surface it go frozen after a couple of minutes. Is that problem solved on Qtek 8020/sp3i?

I've been trying this and that to get sp3i rom onto 8020, however without any luck. Some people say you have to run sim unlock process first (my phone is sim free however) and then can flash other provider ROMS. I'd try that, but I can't pay via Paypal to the site doing unlocks, so can't tell

Anyone else with the same experience?

Jag har en Orange SPV c500 o jag lyckades få över Qtek 8010´s rom på den. Så det borde nog fungera. Vet att andra fått över imates rom till en C500 oxå. Så d borde nog funka:)

just unlocked my qtek 8020 with c500v3 unlocker and flashed latest sp3i rom

I think if you try to flash with original file of Qtek and when erase finishes unplug the cable and then run sp3i flash. :idea:

should work although i am looking for SP3i flash. See if you can mail it to me.

I would not risk unpluggin cable at any stage of flashing :D

Look around for new sp3i rom, there are links to it in this forum
