C500 Text vibrate

I have a Orange C500 and I can get the phone to vibrate when it rings but still can't get it to vibrate when I receive a text. Can this be done?

Just go into settings/sounds go to New sms & select vibrate! Or go to profiles, menu, Edit & choose Notification type, Vibrate then sound, or vibrate & sound. Works on mine!

You can also go one step further and customise your SMS vibrate,

If you edit the following registry entry, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Notifications

Click on Values and select Script

Now for example change the Value Data to v1w1v1w1v1

This will change your vibrate notifications to vibrate 1 sec wait 1 sec Vibrate 1 sec etc but keep your incoming call vibrate unchanged.

You need a registry editor, I use PHM Registry editor from

http://www.phm.lu/Products/Smartphone/RegEdit/

When altering anything in the registry make sure you make a note of any changes and also that you follow instructions. This will save you any problems.
