Missing video codec

For the longest time i have been able to view multiple types of video formats on my phone w/o any problems, but recently files with the .wmv extension will play in windows media player 10 without video with sound, and it will not play at all in Beta Player

After reinstalling the latest version of Beta Player during the setup it returns an error of "Player:Video codec (Windows Media Video 7, WMV7) not found..."

i belive this to be the problem with not showing any video with certain files.

What i am asking is where to locate this codec and where to install it on my phone.
