Guest rodnav Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 (edited) i need help ... i've recently gotten a 512 mb mini sd card for my imate sp3i... i transfered my mp3 and wma's my problem is that winddows media player and betaplayer plays the songs on very low volume... even the sounds of videos on betaplayer are barely audible. this was not a problem when a few of my wma's and videos were in the phone memory. ... i tried transfering one of them back to the phone and it sounded fine... and i tried playing the mini sd card in my xda mini2 itl sounded fine..., my ringtones are ok even though they're also in the memory card is there a problem with my mini SD card? it's a MUSE brand. or is it media player and beta player? thanks. Guest martin Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Just to start with obvious things :D Is the phone volume set to full (volume button on left side of phone) ? Do you have a separate volume adjustment on your earphpones ?

Do you have a separate volume adjustment on your earphpones ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes, the volume is set at 10. headset volume is the same... i tried copying a file to the phone memory again and now the volume is also very low... i can't barely hear them anymore... i hear people better when they're on speakerphone or the wave files as ringtones. the volume up and down buttons don't seem to work anymore too. only voice record and voice tag works
Guest martin Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Strange :-k The only thing I can think of is to turn off the phone, fully recharge the battery and then turn it back on again although the fact that the volume up/down buttons don't work could mean it's corrupted. I haven't had this problem so far but maybe someone else has some ideas.
Guest rodnav Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 (edited) what is corrupted? should i hard reset the phone? *** tried the volume up/down buttons in a call and they work Edited March 11, 2005 by rodnav
Guest martin Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 what is corrupted? should i hard reset the phone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Corrupted means containing errors. Only hard reset if nothing else works.
Guest rodnav Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 i meant which is corrupted, the phone or memory card? i'll try to do a hard reset.
Guest squall Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 try turning the volume fully down then back up
Guest rodnav Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 i did all of your suggestions.. couldn't even do a hard reset... unit off left and right softkeys + power... hold... no clear storage!... tried it 5x... no joy... finally i just downloaded an update at clubimate and used that to reflash the phone and now everything is back to normal... with some improvements courtesy of the 1.2 ROM update.
