Guest youngricardo Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 First post so be gentle! :D I have been searching for the answers to these questions but couldn't find any answers so...... How do you delete shortcuts from the start menu? Basically I installed the demo's of clearvue and fizz traveller from the orange try card to the phones internal memory, and then moved them to my 512mb card. This means that the original shortcuts no longer have the the correct path to the applications. I've created new shortcuts but can't work out how to get rid of the old ones. I can't seem to view email attachments. For example, I received an email with a 75kb pdf doc attached but despite having clearvue installed it won't let me open it. Are there some settings somewhere that block attachments, or do I need to copy the attachment to another location to view it or something? I'm a new c500 owner btw. Thanks in advance for any help guys.

Guest chucky.egg Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 First post so be gentle! :D Welcome fella! :D I can't seem to view email attachments. For example, I received an email with a 75kb pdf doc attached but despite having clearvue installed it won't let me open it. Are there some settings somewhere that block attachments, or do I need to copy the attachment to another location to view it or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It could be that it's a very new (or very old) PDF format, and the viewer can't handle it. What you could try is opening the attachment "manually" with the PDF viewer (I don't have it, so I'm kinda guessing at how you do that): 1) Open the email, and click the attachment (this should "create" the file in Storage/Application Data/Volatile 2) Open PDF Viewer 3) Click File - Open - [browse to the Volatile folder] - Choose the file If it opens OK in that you could try checking the PDF file type association. The only way I know of to do that is through SmartExplorer (which you can download a free trial for at Handango) In SmartExplorer: File - Open - Manage file types Check what settings (if any) the phone has for PDF files. I don't have the software, so I don't have a .pdf extension defined at all.
