Guest g3ck0 Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 How can i prevent msn messenger to sign off when locking the keypad on my c500? As i use the messenger to receive message alerts when it's activated, i'd like to receive mesasages when the phone is key-locked in my pocket..
Guest squall Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 as i understand it gprs times out and terminates after 3 minutes on orange. Its a network issue
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 You can use SmartEase Orange Shell to set the GPRS connection to "permanent" as GPRS should be. You still have to make the initial connection after turning the phone on, by downloading your emails for example, and you can manually disconnect GPRS if you want to. There is an issue with WM2003 whereby any application that sends data could get stuck in a loop and keep sending continuously until the phone is powered off. The only app that I know of that suffers from this is Bonus Print Mobile, but it appears that it could potentially affect any app that sends data Having said that, It's easy and reliable, but I would suggest using it with a GPRS traffic counter.
