Need help with smt5600 buttons

Last night my phone got knocked on the floor, and I think then some beer spilled on it. When I found it, it was on, but none of the buttons would work except the power button. I have been letting it sit to dry out, but so far it hasn't worked. Is there anything I could do, or should I send it to get repaired?

Beer makes a nice mess inside the phone and will leave a residue unlike water.

Hopefully you have removed the battery? I would not power it back on for a few days and give it time to dryout in a warm place.

If this fails then yep it's a send back to get repaired.
