problem with tomtom navgator

Hi all, Im having a problem with tomtom navigator2 .My mda turns itself off while navigator is running, ive moved the slider in navigator thats supposed to keep the ppc awake and it doesnt seem to work on the mda, works fine with my other ppc. Only way i can use navigator without backlight going off or mda switching off is to disable power off and backlight off in settings. Anyone else experienced this ?.
