using a non orange rom update on spv c500

are there any real advantages, or disadvantages to flashing a non orange rom onto the phone? like if i were to use on of the roms from another carrier that also sells the phone???

There is not any real advantage unless you want Media Player 10

but it's best to keep the original ROM and only updte when your network

release any.

The other thing to consider is flashing your phone with a ROM from another operator will invalidate your warranty.

which rom has the media player 10 on, and will it work on the c500?
