Sound on Flip (open)

Hiyas all,

I was just wondering if there was a program or a way in which i could add a custom sound to when the phone is flipped open ?????, like on some other phones!

Im sure there must be a way, well i hope there is :D

Also just one other question while im here & i apollogise if its been asked before, but what is the best program to use for Animated Homescreens & also does the animation stop when the phone is closed ??????, as i would hope it does stop the animation when the phone is closed otherwise i see the battery getting flat real quick!.

There is only the madbeetle animated homescreen but that has been withdrawn for the timebeing so it is not available for download.

Also this only works with 2003 and not 2002 but that does not mean it wil work on an MPX200 with a hacked 2003 ROM.

As for the sound of the flip it is possible by changing the registry and but the sound is also linked in to keypresses so everytime you press a key you would also get the sound of the flip which gets very annoying very quickly.

ok, thankyou for the info "awarner", i will def try the flip sound via the registry & i bet ile end up turning it off too lol :roll:

oh & btw, im running 2003 :D

man, i nearly forget, can u tell me where in the registry i should be lookin for this flip value ????

works fine on my MPX200 with WM2003 HelloMoto Version.

Ive just had a look at that key & there doesnt seem to be any entry there at all, have i done something wrong or have i missed something ????, btw, i used PHM Reg Edit :roll:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\Keypress\values and edit the sound entry there.

you have to press "values" after Keypress in order to see the sound entry.

The last time i looked, i forgot to press the Values key :roll: , so this time i did & this is what i see

If i select Sounds, it shows "HWandSW.wav", are you sure this is the correct key to make the phone make a sound when its Flipped Open ????

ok guys, i just edited that key & sure enough, the keypress sound now plays my custom sound, but it still doesnt play any Sound when opening up the phone!!!!!!!! :D , whats going on ??

any ideas ???????

Hmm, i guess no one can help me then :cry:

Make sure you turn the sounds on to Tone in Settings\Sounds
