Guest limweiqiang Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 hey guy. my front screen got the G and the reception block on the right hand top corner. is this because my gprs is on? how to off it.. i see the mannual it say the G in a square is gprs is use....
Guest ravage Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Nope it's not in use. G in a square means GPRS avaliable and G with strength bars means that it's in use. See attachment from the Imate SP3i manual.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Unfortunately limweiqiang does not have an SP3i and actually has an MPX200. On the MPX200 the G is displayed with the signal bars on the LCD from of the phone. This just means that you have GPRS enabled and have used it. If you reboot the phone the G will disappear again until you reconnect to GPRS again. On the main screen the above applies though :D
Guest limweiqiang Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 my gprs cannot be remove or off leh...
Guest mykiemm Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 (edited) What Ravage posted is correct.......G in the top middle of the screen means GPRS is available and a G next to the signal indicator means GPRS is connecteed. On your MPx200 to disconnect GPRS quickly just push the end call button twice. but no, the G cannot be completly removed. They could have thought of a more imaginative way if showing its available than a big G in the middle of the status bar! Edited March 15, 2005 by mykiemm

If you have used (are using gprs) but would like to close it, then keeping the home button pressed brings up a new screen that will allow you to close the gprs connection. Hope this helps :D
