Guest loki666 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 If I place mp3s in the \storage\my documents they play in windows media player. If I place mp3s or .wav files in the \storage\application data\sounds they can be used for ring tones. What I can’t get windows media player to do is play .wav and .avi files. ](*,) Do I need to install something else? I have placed these files in the \storage\my documents, so they should work. Thanks!
Guest loki666 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Here is what I found on another board: The phone comes with Windows Media Player and it will play "windows media video/music files" only. I downloaded a converter software from cnet.com that converts my mpegs files to windows media video files. The software it's called "Windows Media Encoder". After I convert the mpegs files into windows media files, I transfer them into my memory card. Now, I have music videos in my memory card and let me tell you it's really cool. I even have porn in there. Yes, you can also get a third party software to play the mpegs videos, but I like converting them to windows media files because the files are much smaller than a mpeg file and of course it saves a lot of space in the SD card.
