Guest stianbalducci Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Just got my Qtek S100 on friday. Same as the: jam, xdaIImini etc. The screen is wonderful and the size is just as small as nokia symbian's so honestly it was really worth the money. But over to the questions.... I have installed Betaplayer and D9, but thats it so far. What apps are good to have..? I also see that there is allways written about performing a soft reset which i am unable to do unless i remove the back cover...this can't be the only way can it? Any tip about shortcuts or patches etc would be useful to...:D Any personal twist's on the phone? ThanX
Guest denialnw10 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 You dont have to take off the back to reset. I think you got too excited and forgot to read your instructions mate! lol! I can recommend that you get Poctet TV to play mpeg's/mpg's videos on the phone! They come out beautiful! I cant wait for my 1gb memory to arrive! Anyway to reset push the stick in the hole on the bottom right of the phone, next to the headphone jack and to do a factory reset press the reset bottom and power buttons at the same time. D
Guest stianbalducci Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 (edited) Thanks for the tip..:D That was much easier, I also got xp-style shutdown which i put in my start menu, actually very convenient. Other questions... How to send files over bluetooth with this phone? As I have discovered its impossible with "file explorer"..(Or am I just an idiot?) How can I download and save files from the internet to my storage card? (is this impossible too) I have plenty of more questions too ask, just don't know them all yet... ThanX Edited March 13, 2005 by stianbalducci
Guest MitchellO Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 You're not an idiot, but it is done in File Explorer. Click and hold the filename, and click "beam". If you ahve bluetooth on, it will search for ir and bluetooth devices that are visible. You then click their name and the other device will receive the file (after confirming). I use betaplayer for video (mpg/avi). Better than PocketTV.
Guest denialnw10 Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I use betaplayer for video (mpg/avi). Better than PocketTV. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got Beta Player but it always complains about needing more codecs to play files so it isn't very convenient to me, but i've got both loaded onto the fone so it isn't a problem because i still use beta to play .ogg files.
