Does this still happen after a restart ?

How much memory do you have on the phone ?

I'v tried a hard reset, still have the same problem, have 20MB space plus a 256mb card.

Do i need activesync 2.8, as i have 2.7 atm, here's my phone spec:

smartphone 2003 version 4.20.0(build 13288)

Radio version 1.12.04

availiable storage: 22.89MB

Total storage: 30.33MB

Avaliable memory: 9.64MB

Total memory: 17.76MB

Processor ARM OMAP 710

Rom update version 2.7.1.1

Manufacture 1.11.1.29

Microsoft 4.20.13288.0

Anything wrong with these^

Thanks.

It's not a memory problem as I first thought. Your stats are better than mine.

When you say you did a hard reset, do you mean the procedure that takes you back to factory state ? I would not have thought this was necessary but if a simple restart will not clear the problem then a hard reset may be your only solution.

If after a hard reset the problem remains then it's either a hardware problem or you may need to reflash the phone.

How do i reflash the phone back to ROM state then?

Is there any websites????

The upgrade is actually on the Orange website, here :

http://web.orange.co.uk/yourphone/promo.ht...eUpgradeAug2004

Download to your PC and run it from there when connected with ActiveSync.

Be careful to follow the instructions on screen. After you've downloaded the ROM exe installer it is usually a good idea to come offline and disable your firewall. I seem to remember that can cause problems with ActiveSync during this process.

that means?

Any other suggestions?

You may have that update but something appears to have gone wrong with it.

Therefore we're suggesting you reinstall it.
