Guest sisniper Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Guys waiting for my Tmobile to come into stock! While im waiting wondering if anyones got any views on the following: whats video playback like ? i would like to use it on the train for about (2 hours a day) as well as mp3 - is this feasible Also would like to know if anyones got Windows media Centre 2005 and whether you can use the syncrhonise to device option to synch video or mp3's - would make my day! Anything else you can suggest would also be useful Thanks Simon
Guest mike-oh Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Hi! Video play back is great! The screen lends itself to it very well to watching video. Assuming you can encode it correctly the quality is also excellent. 2hours of video is feasable, assuming you have the backlight on it will drain the battery a fair bit. Two hours of mp3 will be a sinch! I'm guessing the 2 hours is one hour there and one back in which case you'll definitely be fine as you'll be coming home to the charger when the battery is getting tired! Just to give you a clue on battery life i've been constantly streaming radio via bluetooth for 7.5 hours today and the battery is on 4% so plenty of time there! Remember that's useing bluetooth which is an added drain. I can't help you with media centre i'm afraid. Mike
Guest MitchellO Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 WMP10 on the PC syncs video and music to the PPC. No media center required. Video playback is great with Betaplayer and DivX files. WMV is good too, but not as good. I can get about 3 hrs of use like that and have plenty battery left. I use Wifi often too. This thing has excellent battery life.
Guest sisniper Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Thanks Guys since media centre uses WMP10 I would hope that it works Cant wait though! Only another few days according to scancom thanks Si
Guest MitchellO Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Yeah. MCE2005 will do it fine. I have tried it with WMP10, and it is very easy but the files are a bigger than a DivX file of higher quality.
