Guest Rui_Costa Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I have the light sensor on, howeverparticularily in the dark the xtra bright abcklight comes on when it is not neccessary. i hav enot yet found a way to turn the super bright backlight off or better still to set the level of backlight. am i missing something here or is it just not posible. cheerz
Guest squall Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 the light sensor controls the lights behind the keys, not the screen
Guest moosery Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 good point though - wonder if it's possible to change the superbright backlight to not be so bright, say, use the half brightness setting instead, the one the phone fades to after a few secs...
Guest Rui_Costa Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Ah- ha, did not know that the sensor controls the keypad and not the screne but that does explain a lot. However I have founda new problem: when playing WMA's in media player the screen stays on backlight full (superbright mode) with half the screen (the half with the control view- next, previous, vol up/down) whilst the WMA is playing. point 1. This is NOT true for MP3's point 2. Yes the auto off and screen dim settings are correct. The result of this is that the battery is drained twice fold whilst laying music. I am yet to try beta player but prefer the ease of use of media player. confused yet???
