Guest declank Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 (edited) Does anyone have an opinion of the traffic service: http://www.traffic-i.com/main/main_page.asp Looks like the trafficmaster.net service for the mobile. I was thinking of getting a subscription, but wanted to know if its worked well for anyone? Also, is there another service I should also consider ? Tom Tom is well rated but the product is not on sale yet! http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=69 I also know Paul from this site is working on something too ! Any joy with the lock up bugs ? Many thanks to all, Declan Edited March 14, 2005 by declank
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Hi there, and welcome to MoDaCo! Traffic-i is OK, but the road coverage is not very good IMO - a main route between my home and work has only got a few sensors, so often jams do not show up. It tends to work best on Motorways. Haing said that, for £24 (I think) it has saved me loads of stress when I actually remember to check it. TomTom Mobile (the current version) also has the optional Traffic service, but I've never used it so I can't comment. If it's built into the route planning then it could be very useful. Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 TomTom Traffic appears to work well when I was testing\using it and for M25 journeys it was spot on :D
