Guest MitzEclipse Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Hi All, I'm having problems texting internationally w/ my SMT5600. I am trying to send text messages to the Philippines and they are not going through. I can send text just fine to the Philippines when I am using a Nokia phone, so I know my T-Mobile account is OK. I have all of my international numbers stored in +639... format. When I send the message it says "message sent" but my receiver doesn't receive the text. Any thoughts?
Guest xenophobe Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 You need to use the international dialing code... 011 + international number. I SMS australia and europe and have no problems...
Guest Confucious Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 The whole point of using + and then the country code is that you don't need to know wether you should be using 00 or 011. The + should work wherever you are. Having said that maybe you should try 011 (Why do america have to be different? - virtually everyone else uses 00!) and if it works let us know.
Guest MitzEclipse Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I swap sims between my nokia and SMT5600 so I want to use the +639... numbers rather than the 00 numbers. I did several tests yesterday and i can create a NEW message and send just fine, however, when they reply back and I try to hit "reply" and send, they do not receive it. I have to create a new message then send again for them to receive anything...
