Predictive text in installed apps

Hi, have searched but couldn't find the answer to this:

With a smartphone (I'm considering an Orange's SPV C500 because it's cheap) will predictive text work in third party apps you install as well as the built-in email/sms?

I want to be able to jot down notes on the phone and was consdering apps such as Phatnotes.

I haven't used PhatNotes myself, but otherwise 'Yes.'

I can't think of any third-party apps that don't let you use T9
