Advice on Orange

Hi there

I have 2 Orange mobiles (both MPX200)

One has all the ORANGE helpful stuff in it like update and orange backup etc

my other phone i installed wm 2003 then returned to 2002 as i didnt like 2003

where can i get the ORANGE helpful software for putting in to my other phone?

any help appreciated

It should be on either the CD that came with the phone, or possibly on the small SD card that they give you (can't remember if there are any full-version aps on the card or if its only trial versions).

Your only other option is to contact Orange and see if they can supply a replacement, doubtful that they will but worth a try as a last resort if you've lost the CD.

The various firmware settings supplied by Orange, (the start up sunrise etc) aren't available. You won't be able to replace them.

If you're desperate to return to the original ROM, then you're stuck. Only possibility is for the phone to develop a fault and be swapped out under your Orange Care plan (if you have it).

so is there no way to pull the orange rom off the other mpx200?

Thats a good point hecatae does anyone know if this is possible or would that not just be cloning a mobile which obviously is illegal

what about copying the various folders over from good>bad is this legal?

To copy or hack the ROM you would have to create your own method to do this as there are no public apps available that can do this.
