A client of mine bought a c500/ck3100/fortuna clip-on all under my expert  guidance....

he has a call drop problem with the ck3100 that doesn't happen with his nokia 6310i - basically whenever he's on a hands-free call, it will drop out after a random amount of time and clear the call on the c500 - it doesn't appear to be a signal issue - as the signal meter can show any value when this happens...

the ck3100 has the latest firmware, well, 4.10 (4.10b only appears to fix some nokia problem)

has anyone any idea why this is happening, or could it be a faulty unit? he's already had his c500 swapped out

I have a similar problem with a C500/CK3300 setup. After a random time usually of between 3 and 8 minutes when using the handsfree setup the call is dropped for no apparant reason.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening please

I have no problems with my Qtek 8010 and a CK3100.

But I had some problems with the CK3100 and a Siemens S65. After deleting the S65 as a paired device in Ck3100 and pair it again it was OK.

Not much help but both myself and a friend have the C500 and CK3100 working fine wth each other. Just so that you know that it is not an inherant incompatibility between the two devices.

When you paired it did you go to the advanced options and choose that it was a specific device first?
