c500 GPRS - Network Selection HELP

Hi Guys,

I just recently got hold of the c500 from UK. It is unlocked and I have been using it in US on the T-Mobile network. There is a question; I tried to look for directions on how to setup a proper GPRS account on this phone; but I fail to see it. I went through the book that orange gave, and also went to the HTC book to see if I can figure something out.

If anyone in a country outside of UK; was able to configure the settings -> I would appreciate it if you can let me know the steps to setting it all up properly; from the IP to the Port to the apn etc etc.

Also I am planning on going to India; and I was wondering if this phone will work there. I believe there are Orange / Hutch networks in India; but I am not sure wether or not it will pick them up because -> my previous unlocked phone (Sharp GX-32) was able to pick up Cingular (strongest signal where I live) but this phone did not pick up Cingular; and it does not even list it when I search for networks; it picks up T-Mobile & ATT but if i select ATT it just says that its been locked; and I cant use the network.

Any insights would be good.

Have you had a look here for the settings?

Don't ATT use 850MHz band? The C500 is TriBand 900/1800/1900 and so wont work on 850 but as the USA is just about the only place in the world that uses 850 it shouldn't be a problem elsewhere in the world.

Ya ATT uses 850 mhz, and something else also I believe. Well thansk for the link; it was very helpfull -> havent tried it yet; but will as soon as I get a chance.

Also HOPING that it would work in India; because previously I took a T-Mobile unlocked phone from here[uSA] to India (with a Hutch SIM) and it didnt work. So hopefully this phone will work.

These are the settings that I found on the hutch website in India. I could not figure out though, how to input them into C500. I looked at the Link provided above, but was not too clear. Sorry for being a little bit slow; if any of you had any luck with inputting -> please let me know how to do the following :

These are the only settings that they give on the website. Any help is much apperciated; as I am banging my head to figure out how to use this.

I am also trying to find out the GPRS settings. I am able to fill out everything but can't find the field to fill in GPRS access point. I have got Mitsubishi M750. CAn you please help.
