Whether to buy a mpx220 or not

I recently bought an mpx200, loved the phone, but i hated its battery life and try as I may I couldn't fix it and didn't want to start flashing with german roms and the such to try and fix it. I was looking at the cingular version from amazon.com. I've read some of what you guys are saying and am curious, if I buy this phone from them am I going to have to deal with the tedious flashing and the like again? Is there problems inherent to this phone b4 i even receive it? Please help by passing along any information you can.

I'm a 200 owner and was looking forward to the 220. I haven't yet seen one. The reason - no one in the UK has yet launched it (and it's been around a LONG time). This makes me suspicious of it - what is the problem with it?

It's just an opinion from someone who hasn't seen/used one, but I wouldn't buy one. It is already outdated by comparison to what else is on the UK market and I'm concerned as to the true reason behind it's delay.

I too like clamshells but I'd say wait for the spv c550 now!!!
