hi everyone, im a newbie here and i really hope this site is as good as everyone says..

basically i have had an unlocked orange spv e200 for almost a year now when suddenly, out of the blue, it has become locked somehow. the precise error is 'denied, searching'...

i have seen the topic about de-cert on this forum but i dont know if that applies to this. i have already tried to use some other unlocking software but the program just aborts - someone has told me that if this happens the phone can never be unlocked, is this true??

i would really really appreciate any help with regards to this, i had an O2 sim in the phone at the time, it worked at night - when i woke up in the morning it had the error message. someone else has told me that its a problem related to O2 simcards - again is this true?

im totally lost as to what i can do -- please please please can someone offer some advice.

cheers

hi, thanks for the reply

i have tried it with a Tmobile sim card just now and the phone displays 'TMobile UK', however when i ring it beeps twice and the call ends. i cant even ring 150.

another thing i have noticed is that in the top right hand corner where it displays the signal strength i have an upside down triangle thing; apart from that the signal strength seems ok.

early when the problem occured i did get the message 'denied, searching' although it doesnt say that now.

please help;

Check with the any of the networks to make sure the phone is not barred, You can call Orange 0800317720, or Vodafone on 08700776655.

hi

im going to ring orange later today but ive seen on this site that this problem could be due to having accidentally switched over to line2? im not sure whether this just relates to the e100, can anyone let me know.

thanks
