Question about SMS

I'm having a little problem. A friend of mine likes to send sms messages on my phone, but deletes them before I can see what he says or who he talks to. I'm a nosey person, especially when it comes to stuff like that. So, my question, is there any way you can change it to where people can't delete the messages? I know you can save the outgoing messages to your outbox or whatever, but how do you check them? That is a newbie question, I know, but I was just curious. Thanks for the help in advance.

Don't let him use your phone.

One idea may be to change the phone number associated with the person/people he's sending the messages to. That way he'd think he was sending to, say, "John" but it would actually go somewhere else that you have access to.
