Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Hi How do I install a cab file onto my smartphone? [1] Connect your phone to your PC and establish an active sync connection [2] Using file explorer on your PC, copy the cab file to your mobile device into :- On Smartphone 2002 - IPSM\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories On Smartphone 2003 - Storage\Windows\Start Menu\Accessories [3] On your device open the Accessories folder via the Start Menu. [4] You will see the cab file listed, select it and run it. This will install the application onto your device and remove the cab file. :D
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 What Pzee is saying is that we both assume you've unzipped the cab file you downloaded for the homescreen. Cab files shouldn't be unpacked and install the same way as hme files.
