Guest RicKaysen Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Anyone else have this problem? I have four or five identical travel chargers from various Moto phones and not one of them fits properly. To get it to make contact, I have to hold the phone and push the plug in at an angle. Of course, as soon as I let go the contact is lost. It does, however, do a fine job of completely discharging the battery overnight. The only charger that fits securely is the USB cable, but I don't leave my computer running all the time. I bought a Moto car charger and it has the same lousy plug. What's everyone else using?

What's everyone else using? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hate these 'click' connectors too, particularly after the experience of using the USB on my MPx200. I've had bad expereinces with these designs on my Palm Pilots (now decaying to sand in my closet). All I can suggest is that you look to see that the little prongs on the charger cord aren't bent. When that happened with my Palm Pilot cords, they were never any good again, no matter how much I tried to re-shape them. Right now the Moto "Y-Splitter" that came with my Headset is no longer reliable for my phone. Everything else works ok, so I don't think it's the contacs on the phone itself. I've wondered whether it might be better to press the release button and make the connection, instead of waiting for the click. Check the bottom of your phone to see that the holes on the sides where the prongs go in aren't blocked with something. Good Luck, MadSci
