Guest lobes Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Can anyone tell me if there is a program to convert the Mpeg-4 video clips taken on my C500 and transfered to my PC into a format that all can view with windows media player with sound. I have the clips on my PC and am using Quick-time player to view them but they all play with no sound???? Sound was recorded and plays on the phone when file played on phone. I have now changed the file output on the phone to MotionJpeg - AVI. I have these clips I really need to share with some others but need to change the format. Any ideas?
Guest bluesmudge Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 ummm try finding codec for windows media player to recognise the file OR try www.download.com and search for what you need. Hope that helps
Guest bazzo Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 ummm try finding codec for windows media player to recognise the file OR try www.download.comĀ and search for what you need. Hope that helps <{POST_SNAPBACK}> afaik there are no free mp4-codecs around, but if you have an DVD-ROM, it should be delivered with a SoftDVD-Player, install it and MP should play your clips. regards bazzo
Guest martin Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 The Mpeg-4 option on the C500 uses AMR audio. You need some software that can convert 3GP and MP4 files containing AMR. Unfortunately I can't recommend any software packages as I've never converting them myself.
Guest bazzo Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 sorry, i wraped that you only got problems with sound. if the pictures are there you already have a mp4-codec installed.
Guest t3dluke Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 Just export them to AVI with quicktime in a high bitrate indeo video codec and choose WAV for sound. Then use virtualdub to get the video and audio in the format you want.
Guest jporch316 Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 when I play my mp4's on my PC with quicktime (v6) i get sound and video. Matbe its a problem with your version of quicktime?
Guest lobes Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Update of Quick time seemed to resolve the problem. Thank you! I'll update if I find a quick conversion to WMP
Guest martin Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Errr, I was doing a search through google earlier and happened to find this player for the PC. It's actually quite useful as a standalone application - Honest. You can convert AVI files to 3gp and format for MMS etc Multimedia Player :D ;)
