Problem viewing SPV C500 from windows explorer

Evening all

When I hook my SPV C500 up to my home PC I have problems viewing or copying files to it with windows explorer. It shows up under 'my computer' but when I try to expand it nothing is shown, and after trying this I get

'Critical communications failed to start, try resetting the mobile device and then connect again'

I have tried this and also tried reinstalling from the CD that I got with the phone but I still get the same problem.

It works OK when I view it on my work PC so the phone looks OK so it must be the PC, any ideas what I can do?

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!! I sorted this out a second after I posted, for some reason my firewall was set to stop explorer from accessing t'internet, enabled this and now it is fine. Not sure why I set it up that way??
