as per the title, is there a way of saving email attachments? I have clearvue so can read pdf files etc that I receive via email but can find no way of saving them, other than saving the email they were attached to. If it can't be done as standard, is there an app available that allows it? I have a c500 by the way.

Cheers!

When I receive email attachments (pictures) they are saved by default in the Storage\ My Documents folder. I don't know if this is applicable in your case. This is also a C500. :D

I'm not sure mine does that, I'll try it and see.

When you open the email attachment it gets put in /Storage/Application Data/Volatile, and you can copy it from there. That's what I do, but it is a bit pants.

When I have opened the attachment it has also been held in the volatile memory but as soon as I delete the email the attachment goes from the volatile menu so I suppose the only way to do it is to move the document from the volatile folder to another folder???

The item in /Volatile is only there while the attachment is open, so you need to copy the attachment while it is open.

Open your email

Click on the attachment

When it opens switch to your File Manager (you can go Home and Start to get there, or you can open it in advance)

Copy the file from Volatile to whereever you want to keep it

AFAIK if you can't open the attachment you can't copy it!
