Guest DomConway Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 I installed Orneta Notepad on my C500, and used the option within Notepad to associate it with .txt files. Now my .txt files just have the generic Windows icon in SmartExplorer / File Manager but they do open in Notepad. How can I get the icon back to the standard text file one? I've tried using File Associations in SmartExplorer but can't find the right icon to link it to - I'm sure it was in iexplore.exe, but the only icon that's showing up for that is the big blue e! Any help appreciated - I know it's a very minor problem but it's really bugging me.
Guest chucky.egg Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 Not sure what they open with by default, but if it's just a case of the Orneta Notepad icon being "lost" you could reinstall Notepad and they should come back
Guest DomConway Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 They open with IE by default, and I'm sure that's where the standard icon is located (iexplore.exe) - however, it's not there when I try to change the icon for the file type in Smart Explorer. Could someone please do me a big favour and check what file the icon associated with their .txt file type lives in? Thanks in advance!
