Guest nickustinov Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 There's one thing which I can't figure out. Let's say I am speaking to someone on the phone and then he tells me some phone number which I should write down. With my old phones, (e.g. SE, Nokia) I could enter this number on keypad, then press "hang up" button and the number was on the screen. Now, with smartphone (too smart, huh) if I enter some number while talking and then disconnect the number disappears!!! Is there a way to fix that? Nick

Guest chucky.egg Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 What I do is go through Contacts and create a new entry whilst talking via the speakerphone The downside is that once in a call, if you press Home the Contacts softkey becomes "Call Progress", so you have to assign a speed dial or go through the Start Menu Don't forget that the person on the other gets a "click" for (almost) every keypress but if you turn "Mute" on then they get the DTMF tone for the keypress! A good way to wind people up, but not so good for keeping friends

They must fix it in next ROM version Nick
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 Unlikely to happen as it's not beed addressed in two and a half years. Also it's not really that much of a problem unless you want to take down new temporary numbers all the time which is probably why it's not been looked at as such.
