will be in italy next month for two weeks with my attwireless smt5600. does anyone know if i'll be able to easily find a charger or should i just bring my car charger and budget battery life based on access to access to autos?

i'm going to unlock phone before i go and was wondering what carrier to use. while there, i think i'll mostly be a data user with limited phone use. help.

Why unlock your phone? Don't ATT have roaming agreements with anyone in italy?

I would have thought your normal charger would work with a plug adaptor which should be readily available in Italy and a lot cheaper than buying a new charger (even if you can find one)

If you are going to use an italian provider make sure you find one that uses 1800 not 900 as the 5600 is tri-band 850/1800/1900 NOT 900/1800/1900

Also you will probably find data calls on PAYG very expensive - I know they are in the UK.

Good luck.
