Phone soft-resetting itself?

I left the battery off the phone last night and when I re-connected this morning I found that all my settings had gone and the phone had re-application locked itself...

Is this normal? or is the backup battery stuffed? I do not have a backup in the power management menu anymore...

Sounds like the battery has died :D

Only way to really test is to replace the internal battery.

So is this something I could do? or leave it up to someone to charge me lots of money for?

You have two options,

1, Follow my guide on how to strip the phone, it's if you take your time and use the right tools.

2, Send it to me and I'll have a look for you. (as long as you cover costs)

NOTE:

Before everyone starts asking me to repair their phones, I only do the occasional one as I do not have the time.

Thanks, I'll check out the self dismantling option first - and also see what a full charge does...
