Guest mojojojo_dk Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Hi there, im having some troubles with Outlook; It keeps converting my phonenumbers from: 22334455 to 22 33 44 55 With spaces between the numbers, callerID doesnt work on my C500 - while reciving a call, it only shows the number of the person calling, not the contact's name.. Is there some way to either change the settings in Outlook, or in the C500..? Regards from Mojojojo
Guest Jasonkruys Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 I suspect the reason caller id isn't working is because you do not have the counrty code (ie +44) in your numbers.....it requires this, and my outlook puts spaces in and caller id works fine
Guest tudor Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Try to put the number in the form Outlook wants it: +cc (aaaa) nnnnnn where cc = country code, aaaa = area code, and nnnnnn = local number. If you open a contact in Outlook, double-click the number and it will open a dialog with these 3 fields.
Guest underscore Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 you can solve this problem in the registration database on your computer. you will have to do the following: open the registration database on the computer. (press ctrl + o and type regedit) go to the following folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\Loca tions\Location1 double click on contry then all you have to do is erase the contents of "value data". in my case it said 2d (that's denmark) you might want to backup your registration database BEFORE you do this. What has now happned is that outlook has lost it's location referance and can therefore not format the phone number accordig to the local preferance, and the number will be left as you entered it. you will how ever have to manually remove the spaces before the change will appl.
