urgent help with orange c500!

Hi,

i was using my c500 fine this morning using a handsfree kit,

but now after tkaing the kit out of the headphone jack, whenever i make a call, i cant hear anything! and you can no longer use the loud speaker either for calls or to hear mp3's etc in media player.

strange thing is, when i put a hands free kit in the speaker jack, you can hear just fine, however no one can hear you!!

ive rung orange and theyve said its faulty, but due to me having no insurance, its gonna cost!!

i was just hoping theres some one out there who may have had a similar fault and managed to fix it?

ive done the hard reset (hold soft keys and power on for 1.5 secs) and im just downloading the rom update to see if that might reset it further?

any suggestions???

If it's faulty then it's a warranty issue not insurance.

Have you checked the profiles in case they got screwed? Maybe the sound has been reset to 0 or something.

try this pres start,more,more,then accesories,then clear storage.

this will reset all the settings to manufacturers default.be sure all ur contacts are back up and ur important files too.
