Is there a function to (de)activate infrared on the mpx, could you save battery consumptiom, i haven't found an option.

ir is off by default, and unless sending files / looking for incoming beams it will stay off

You should check the accept incoming beams is switched off (sorry i cant remember what menu this is in on the mpx200)
