Guest newmoomin Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 Im after a good music player, but many of my albums are encoded in aac from itunes. Do you know of anything that will play albums and even show artwork from the id3 tag?
Guest Chaser81 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 BetaPlayer will play AAC with the right codec support.

Is it like a normal windows based media player where you just drop the codecs into the main player folder???
Guest Chaser81 Posted March 26, 2005 Report Posted March 26, 2005 The codecs are available through BetaPlayer's own website and I think are fairly easy to install though you would have to check on the readme.

Guest MitchellO Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 (edited) Here you can get the setup files: http://picard.exceed.hu/betaplayer/0.5/ You want: Betaplayer 0.5 STABLE (http://picard.exceed.hu/betaplayer/0.5/bet....STABLE.0.5.exe) and probably AAC Full Setup (http://picard.exceed.hu/betaplayer/0.5/aac....STABLE.0.5.exe) Give that a try. Good Luck!!! Edited March 27, 2005 by MitchellO
Guest GothTeddy Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 BetaPlayer plays AAC out of the box, but it won't play iTMS protected AAC. Google "JHymm" for a workaround :D
