Has anyone else had, or get, SMS messages with the number "7680" (or similar) as the sender, and the text of "Contents of this message cannot be displayed" ??

I seem to get them every couple of weeks, and usually around about midnight. They are quite annoying and i've no idea where they are from or how to stop them.

Regards

Griff

This could be if you've had that sim card in a different phone before such as a Nokia and you've received a ringtone or graphic by SMS. Now you've got the sim in your SPV it doesn't recognize the formet of the SMS they've sent you. If this is the case, you'd want to find out who sent you this "ringtone/graphic" as you're probably still paying for receiving it!

Phone orange and they should be able to tell you who the messages are from and maybe even how to cancel them (this usually involves phoning a premium rate number but if you can find a website it mioght have unsubscribe info on it)

Good luck - you'll need it!

It's a new simcard from an Upgrade a few months ago, although the number is the same as the old one. The only place i've ever bought items for my phone were on Orange World through the wap on my old Sagem phone. Strange one this. I'll have to have a hunt around and see where i've used my phone number on any registrations (such as 02, and PlanetSagem).
