Hello

How do I format my SD card with C500. Also why is my MMS Video option been removed from the third phone (Now a Silver one) Orange have just sent me. They have sent me a sim update but no use. I spoke to them again and they are getting back to me, within a week, apparently.

Also anybody have problems taking video direct onto your sd card. Keeps stopping saying no capacity even though ita a new 512 card with over 400 minutes available. Sometimes it works and others it just stops after a second.

Thanks.

I can't help you with the MMS problem, but you can format the storage card with Binary's Task Manager or just use a card reader.

The problem with recording video is that you need a decent amount of memory on the phone as well as available space on the card. Try restarting your phone before using the camera.

Thanks Stu

Phone is brand new so memory in phone and card isn`t a problem. Just have to save onto phone and then transfer to card when neccessary. I suppose thats not a big deal. Any idea of a way to play windows media as I upgraded my p.c. to media player 10 and don`t think my phone will play as it is media player 9.

Just a note on videos:

I've been using Mobile media maker to get some DVDs on my c500 sd card and the only way I can do it is by copying the 200Mb plus files to my memory card in a card reader. I'm guessing thats due to a lack of memory in the phone, strugggling to be able to shift the large file through the phone to the memory card. Its not a big problem but if anyone knows of another reason or a solution id be interested to know.

Ta!

You should use a card reader to move large files from the PC to the storage card as not only is it faster but as you have found Activsync has a habit of timingout.
