Guest bigdan Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 It's been long enough now for me to upgrade my phone (C500), I've had Original SPV, E200 and now the C500. What should I get next? I'm not bothered about staying on Orange as all networks are fairly similarly priced for what I want. I have Tomtom Mobile and lots of other software so I'd rather stick to a phone that is compatible with all this but cant decide what to get. Any ideas people?
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 After a Smartphone I wouldn't want to downgrade to a lesser platform. Others have reported being disappointed at the lack of software and customisation avaliable for non-Windows devices. I'd be most likely to wait for the C550 but then, before that was announced, I couldn't resist the wonderful temptation that is the iMate Jam (aka HTC Magician, MDA Compact etc) and I have no regrets.

When is the C550 likely to arrive? I thought about changing to T-Mobile and trying the SDA, is this any different from my current C500 apart from the casing?
Guest Foxy2k Posted March 27, 2005 Report Posted March 27, 2005 Yeah I have a free upgrade waiting for me too and I'm interested in the c550, but is it likely to be available for free on a £30 contract? Methinks not because of the 3G speed. I'm sure someone on this forum must have a better idea than me!
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I work on a 'believe it when I see it' policy when it comes to release dates. From what I've read in the News section here though I'd expect Orange to have both devices available before Christmas... :D
