Cannont find IMEI

ok, read all the posts, and i've done this before.. millions of times, but after a hard reset it's all gone belly up..

The OTA site thinks my phone IMEI isn't registered, but the action register app on my phone says it is registered. I assume that the Orange site is down again?

Anyone else app unlocked the phone in the last 24hrs?

A fellow Pinoy sent me a PM regarding OTA unlock problems. Maybe there is a problem with the Orange site. :D

You could install the imate rom, i did it and i prefer it to the orange rom. It is very stable and doesnt need app unlocking :D

is the imate ROM easy to install? Any issues?

You have to unlock the phone first.

When composing messages, keypad response is very sharp, no more double tapping, skipping keys etc.

I have 12 mb free memory unlike 7 with the orange rom.

Media player is now stable, no more mysterious stops and pauses.

I get around 5 free games from imate

Note: If ur phone died while using the imate rom i dont think orage will be kind enough to replace it. I took the risk :D

You seem to have a C500, and, as far as I know, you can't register a C500's IMEI on clubimate.

I can't unlock my SPV E100 via the website too, after resetting the phone. IMEI not found, i have doen it before and it has worked, not this time though.

well.. email Orange. I got a reply quite quickly with the little application on it for my IMEI..

Perhaps they're stopping OTA unlocking?

dont do so difficult ppl, had that excact problem once and i just called the orange helpdesk and they emailed me a little app (srry dont have it anymore) the app once started looked up the correct imei just needed your phone number and then it sended a request for unlocking, which was done about 5 mins later.

this was with the dutch orange, dunno if that matters, just give it a try

That would be great! They should have a web page where you can register your phone and download this unlocking application for your phone, then just use the app without the need to enter your data online hundreds of times. :evil:

AFAIK Imate ROMs are for Imate unit owners only.

24 hours! Bugger! Just hoping the first one got lost in the Easter rush, Good Friday was a pretty stupid time to email anyone really!
