Guest Neil Clark Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 The wifes just come back from shopping with a copy of TOMTOM for the C500, i didnt even know you could get such a thing!, she just got it me because she knows thats the same phone as mine!!, nice lady lol. Anyway, i take it i need a GPS thingy for it to work then? can someone point me in the right direction for one that works with my phone? ebay maybe? Many thanks all Neil
Guest Miniman99 Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 Not sure I understand. TomTom Mobile works on a Smartphone, and you will get their GPS reciever included in the TomTom Mobile package. So I'm not sure what you've got there, some other version of TomTom or TomTom Mobile. I'm not sure any other versions will work on a C500 However back to your point. You need a GPS reciever to make TomTom useful. You can use all sorts of GPS units. I personally use a Fortuna Clip On with TomTom Mobile on a C500.
Guest vijovame Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I use a Holux GR-230, but i use mapopolis.....I dont know if works with tom tom but you can enter in the web site and send an email to them asking if it works, because my Holux is more cheaper than the Fortuna but both do the same work, i am very happy with my holux...
Guest Neil Clark Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Using a Fortuna here Neil <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cheers mate, im only in Derby!
