Guest Pagemakers Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I have read on several sites that the SP3i joystick causes great problems. Has this problem now been fixed?
Guest Paraklas Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) My Sp3i Joystick Right/Down navigation died after 2 weeks of soft use. There are several posts in threads at club i-mate which talk about this issue but there is not a real solution. The conclusions I got from reading those threads are that: i-mate requests that faulty sp3i's are sent to Dubai repair center (2-3 weeks repair and shipping time) Online support either Live or Via e-mail does not exist regarding this issue. Joystick problems begin to rise after the first week of use and involve the Down/Right navigation. There are some DIY tricks which involve soldering but not a proved solution in long term. Guest Pagemakers Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Hmm Thanks for that. I've got a C500 but was recently tempted by the SDA. The SDA has great buttons, but there are a one or two other things I don't like about the phone (MMS Client, no alarm plugin) so I think it's SDA back in the box and C500 polished up again.
Guest tFelix Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 i just send my sp3i to i-mate for replacement

But everything else is good ;)
