Guest burnso Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Firstly, can a bluetooth headset and GPS be used at the same time. If yes, is it possible to get spoken voice prompts through a bluetooth headset if both are being used, or are voice prompts transmitted via speaker on Jam only? The reason I ask is that road noise makes the Jams tinny speaker difficult to hear... Ta!
Guest adey_london Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Not sure if what you are suggesting works, but I have a different setup which solves the problem... I have my Jam mounted on a suction cup holder thing, with the audio output routed to the car stereo via a cassette adaptor. I can listen to my MP3s through the car stereo, and when an instruction comes up on TomTom, it also comes through the car stereo - it works a treat!

I'll try the Bluetooth tools as I've been after something like this for a while... Seeing as though I can't get GPS thru the bluetooth headset, I'm gonna use this little FM Transmitter. Hopefully it'll have a 2.5 mm jack.... and work!!! Also got my eye on this Car Mount too!

I see it's been a year since it's been updated, has it been abandoned? Ta FFM

The widcomm implementation on the XDA2i does. Someone needs to shoehorn it into the jam! -- rmg.
