Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 The incredible has happened... The same hackers behind some of the biggest breakthroughs in the Smartphone scene have ported the Smartphone OS to the Nokia NGage! Using a combination of the Audiovox SMT5600 ROM and the Radio Stack from an Orange C500, the hackers have a fully working build INCLUDING Windows Media Player 10! The NGage has been chosen as the first Nokia platform to receive the ROM due to it's very similar specs to current Smartphones, but our sources tell us that this build will actually work on just about any current Series 60 device! The files are starting to appear in the usual places, but, due to the illegal nature of this release, anyone posting the ROM or links to the ROM will be banned from the forum. Smartphone fans of the world rejoice! :D P
Guest nedge2k Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I can confirm this is for real. I cant say too much, for obvious reasons but those of you who know where to look will know where to find it :D

Guest Will Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Works even better if you modify your n-gage to take external media cards.. http://www.mashmods.com/index.php?f=loadMo...wProduct&pid=18 Be safe kids

Guest arterialzade Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 I think that is not true! Cause why dont you try to give the link of the site. And you see the picture of the Nokia, the casing is too old and maybe just a cover of the smartphone. Thanks..
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Cause why dont you try to give the link of the site. Thanks.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Forum rules. We would have to ban Paul (NFG) if he posted a link to the website
Guest MitchellO Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Because they probably have agreements with companies that don't allow them to. They could get into trouble for posting links to warez and such. Basicly, it is not a licenced version of WM smartphone edition.

I'm sure you understand why. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So that's where my Off-Topic post went! It was even more unfair to me as I couldn't reply to this thread when I looked early this morning (Must have been about 0700 as I'd just got in the office). Another funny is here.
Guest mike-oh Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 That last one is great. Starts off convincing but then goes ludicrous! :D "We’ve designed a way to create small wormholes within the GPU and we pass information through that way. Admittedly, there are stability issues and as soon as we get the main part of Taiwan back in this dimension, we’ll be going ahead with production”
Guest MitchellO Posted April 1, 2005 Report Posted April 1, 2005 Wormholes? Yes, we need a wormhole to send information 3cm across the chip :D I know speed is in need... If you started reading it you would believe, and then it (intentionally) gives the gag away.
