When I bought mpx200 seller told me that I should discharge the phone completely, and then charge it about 12 h, also he told me to do that 3 times. My battery is poor it needs 3 hours to recharge, and it lasts about a day. I read here that fully discharge of battery can damage it. So is my battery ruined because of that or what???

Welcome to the site :D

The battery life will certainly be shortened because of the poor advice you were given.

Only Ni-Cd and Ni-Mh should be fully discharged due to the infamous memory loss, but Li-ion are completely different. If you fully discharge a Li-ion battery you will damage the internal circuitry and the battery will lose it's capacitance, this cannot be repaired.

I got a new battery, but it is still the same...

Could hard reset help? Can hard reset any way affect on the

Sorry about this questions but i just bought the phone so...

A hard reset can help to improve the battery life. Make sure you fully charge the battery first.

The reset will not affect the warranty and will not wipe anything on the SIM or the SD card.

Just a suggestion but you could try some software things like going to start and settings and turining beam off if it isnt already...also put things like preffered band and network to manual and unclick channels (all of these can be found in settings).....I know doing these things helped me

It's worth a shot if u havent dont it already

Peace

What are you using the phone for? if you are playing games, movies etc all the time the battery will not last long , but on standby it should last for 2 1/2 to 3 days

10 min games+10 min conversation+15 sms messages=24-30 hours of battery, and more than 3 hours to recharge and that is killing me... I think that this is very bad...

hbk5585 I can`t find the option turn the beam off in the settings, where is it ?(win 2002)

Are you from Malaysia? if so it could be to do with the ROM they have supplied with your phone as there has been a similar problem a week or so ago with a Malaysian member.
