Hi all,

I’ve had my SPV C500 since October 2004, and have just got around to using the Bluetooth feature, or rather trying too.

To being with, I have tried using ActiveSync on my PC connecting my phone via my Logitech dinovo Bluetooth hub. Both my PC and SPV can see each other, and they will ‘pair’ together (sort of), and that’s as far as it goes. I can try and send files from my phone to the PC, the PC then sounds to indicate an incoming file, but nothing!

Secondly, friends of mine try connecting to me via Bluetooth with their phones (mainly Nokia), I can see them, they can see me etc, but when they send me a file it says connection refused on their phones, and if I try and send a file, my phone does respond.

I have tried using passkeys / no passkeys, still doesn’t work!

Anyone have any ideas?

Craig.

Lovely, that seems to have done the trick!

I have also download Smart Explorer from binarys.com so i can send files from my phone via BT easily.

I have another question now. Recieved items seem to save themselves to the internal phone memory. My memory is running out and i have a 512MB mini SD card installed. Is their a way to get items to be saved direct to the storage card?

Cheers once again,

Craig.

yes there is a way to get incoming files from bluetooth saved onto the SD card, just use smart explorer and go into the folder you want the file to be saved in (eg: storage card/my documents/pictures) and then go to "recive by IR/BT" in the file menu, the incoming file should be saved into the folder you were in when you selected "recive by IR/BT"

does this help anyone?

One little pearl advice I have discovered is close down Outlook before you sync!!! I had mine perfectly set up but kept getting Port is use by another application or some error message like that/ Close Outlook and async started straight away.

Here how it worked for me:

- first pair the SPV with diNovo (push connect on the hub, set phone to discoverable)

- then use the USB cable to establish a connection with ActiveSync (choose permanent one-on-one partnership; ActiveSync will setup and run for the first time.

- then unplug the cable and go to connection settings in ActiveSync. Change the COM1 port into COM5 port.
