Is anyone successfully using a Wifi SD card with the i-Mate Jam?

I am thinking of getting a Jam to go with my C500 but only if I can use it on my home wireless network.

Thanks for the help.

I am, as far as I know Paul has as well, we sell the JAM along with 2 WiFi SD cards, one with 256MB Memory (SanDisk) and Socket no Memory :D

I just thought of another few questions.

1. Does the Jam allow voicedialling from a bluetooth headset?

I drive quite a lot for work and need to be able to use the phone (legally) while driving. As there's no keypad I'm guessing there isn't a speed-dial function.

2. If I buy a Jam and a Sandisk Wifi card do I need to add any other software in order to be able to browse the filesystems of the PCs on the network?

I'd like to be able to play MP3 files that are held on my desktop and view video and digital photos that are held on two other machines.

3. Does the Jam support multiple simultaneous bluetooth connections (e.g. headset and GPS) like the C500 does?

4. If I use the phone keypad input method can I use T9 to select the contact I want to dial on the Jam? I have over 800 contacts in my phone and I've got so used to this on my C500 that I'm not sure if I can give it up!

I used a Sandisk 256MB plus WIFI from Expansys on my JAm, sticks out along way, wish there was a short SDIO or a USD version that is silver plastic and shaped to fit bottom of JAM.

If you use an SDIO card, phone won't fit in supplied case.

Wish the SDIO slot was deeper, who wants an inch of black plastic protruding.

Thanks for the info.

In fact I caved and got a Jam last week. First thoughts are that it is much better than the C500 as a PDA but a lot weaker as a phone.

Bluetooth support and signal strength are both worse than the C500

Strangely, considering some of the other posts I've read on Modaco, it also seems to be a bit slower responding than my C500. There's often quite a long pause before the screen renders in Pocket Informant for example.

Oh and I should say that I got WiFi working in less than 10 minutes... which was nice.
